Welcome to It’s Ok* World. Our first annual (free) outdoor festival. 3 days of music, art, wellness, tasty foods and cold-ish drinks. Bring your fam, bring your friends, bring your dog, probably bring your sunscreen too.

Set against the backdrop of a warm summer, this festival unites artists from across Toronto, spanning disciplines such as music, dance, visual arts, film, and literature. It’s a space for Black artists to shine, heal and share their stories. Attendees of the festival can immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of performances, art work, workshops and film. More than a festival; It’s OK* World is a community gathering, focused on Black joy.

Day One: Friday July 21st (7 pm-11 pm) Film Screening: Brother (2022)

Film screening showcasing the latest work by Black film Director, Clement Virgo, “Brother” 2022, that speaks to Black representation not only through the actors and the director, but also through the story being told.

“Brother” is an emotional, coming-of-age drama about two estranged brothers, Sam and David, separated by life’s circumstances and reunited by a shared mission. Throughout their journey, they grapple with their past, their prejudices, and their differences. “Brother” is a poignant exploration of brotherhood, identity, and redemption, a heartfelt testament to the enduring bond of family and the power of forgiveness.
