Explore what’s behind the music

In our Discovery concert, the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra is on a quest to explore what’s behind the music. It is a shorter, more informal ‘info-tainment’ event in a beautiful venue to engage our audience in a fun way!
Maestro Matthew Jones will guide us inside great music by Mozart, Haydn, Bach, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev, looking through the same lens we’d use to think about a great book or TV series. How does it capture our attention? make us wonder what will happen next? deliver a satisfying ending? It is fun, entertaining, everyone learns something, and the shorter, more informal format makes this a great introduction for symphony “newbies”. Even regular patrons will discover something new – and have fun doing it!
