Participants will learn: understanding common online threats and risks specific to seniors, strategies to protect personal information and privacy online (including passwords, two factor authentication, using social media and online shopping safely), recognizing signs of online scams and phishing attempts, scam emails, texts and phone calls, developing skills to safely browse the internet and use online services, exploring tools and resources available to enhance online security, providing resources for reporting online scams and stay safe, understanding the Https factor, ensuring you are using a secure connection, using public Wi-Fi safely and avoid entering sensitive information
This will be a 90 minute interactive workshop where we will learn some new information, then practice with support on our own devices. You will have time throughout to ask questions. Our dedicated TECH team will also be available for you after the workshop for support from 2:30-3pm
