Hydration is a key nutritional factor that often gets overlooked, particularly in older adults. Older adults are more likely to experience dehydration, which often results in more frequent hospital admissions. Thus, receiving adequate fluid intake is an important preventative measure and contributes to improved quality of life for older adults.
This presentation will provide an overview of how hydration impacts mental and physical health, and will discuss how older adults can maintain good hydration status.

2. Identify signs and symptoms of dehydration and those at greatest risk.
3. Apply practical strategies for older adults to prevent dehydration.
