Puck Cancer Charity Hockey Tournament Set for September 27

September 26 September 28

A new philanthropic initiative, Puck Cancer Charity Hockey Tournament, will debut as a two-day event on September 26–27, 2026, bringing together leaders from the business and hockey communities in support of cancer and diabetes initiatives. Founded by cancer survivor Paul Lonergan, Puck Cancer was created as a purpose-driven platform rooted in personal experience and community impact. What began as a tribute inspired by lived experience and loss has evolved into a growing, community-led effort focused on raising awareness, supporting families, and funding critical care and research. Proceeds from the event will support a group of leading organizations, including Brain Cancer Canada, Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Mt. Sinai Hospital, Breakthrough T1D, and Diabetes Canada, funding initiatives that span research, patient care, and family support. Positioned at the intersection of sport, philanthropy, and community leadership, Puck Cancer aims to build a lasting platform that mobilizes support and delivers meaningful impact in the fight against life-altering diseases. A limited number of team entries and sponsorship opportunities remain available. For more information, visit: https://puckcanceranddiabetes.com
