Many yoga poses focus on balance and stability, both incredibly important as you age. Strengthening your muscles and improving your balance prevents the likelihood of falls, which can be a common concern. Not only do these exercises prevent falls in the first place but an increase in strength and stability also helps us to bounce back and recover, should a fall occur.
The program is offered to older adults 55+ and is offered in-person or online via zoom. Funding for this program provided by the Seniors Community Grant from the Province of Ontario.
