In the third installment of our posture improving series, come explore ways to use ball massage as a therapeutic tool.
Improving posture without being able to feel areas we are trying to strengthen or lengthen is impossible. Tension from overworked muscles may turn off the nervous system messages travelling from body parts to our brain, and we may literally not have a sense of certain body parts because of this. Not only does self massage help us improve body awareness, it should also feel relaxing, help reduce pain, and improve circulation and mobility in your joints.
**PLEASE HAVE A TENNIS BALL OR OTHER AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE GOING TO PRACTICE BALL ROLLING MASSAGE DURING THIS SESSION**
Workshop is held in person at St. Demetrius Apartment 123 La Rose Avenue and virtually via zoom.
The program is offered to older adults 55+ and is offered in-person or online via zoom. Funding for this program provided by the Seniors Community Grant from the Province of Ontario.
