Join Don Gillmor for a conversation about his new book Breaking and Entering. A messy family-life, the hottest Toronto summer on record, a mid-life crisis and a google search, all lead Bea into the world of amateur lock-picking. Gillmor’s novel breaks into the existential angst sometimes felt by the sandwich generation, those caring for both elderly parents and their own children.
By the Lake Book Club offers six Tuesday-night events, between February and December featuring leading Canadian authors in conversation with Humber College graduates and alumni. Each in-person event includes a reading, discussion, audience Q&A, book-signing and American sign language interpretation. Virtual events are subtitled live and provide online viewing and audio.
Registration begins on January 4, 2024 at 10 a.m. Phone lines are open during business hours for more information and tickets.
