History buffs will appreciate this FREE Dynamic talk.

KENTUCKIANS, UPPER CANADIANS, AND SHAWNEE IN THE
REVOLUTIONARY YEARS, 1783-1813

Presenter #HughBarnett teaches at George Brown College, where he is an instructor in Pre-Confederation Canadian History.
An actor and musician, Hugh was a co-founding member of the Humber River Shakespeare Co. and one
of the event coordinators for the ‘Walk the Six West’ outdoor theatre festival held along the Humber River in 2017 and 2019.

The Battle of the Thames from the War of 1812 has a connection to a far less known battle in Kentucky, called ‘The Battle of Blue Licks.’
The loss suffered by the patriots in Kentucky had fuelled a long simmering feud between Kentuckians and Upper Canadians that culminated near London in 1813.
Come to the Howland Lecture to hear how The Battle of the Thames could be considered the final battle of the American Revolution !!
