Celebrate Lunar New Year 2026 with Bayview Village!
Bayview Village celebrates the Year of the Horse with an exciting Lunar New Year event in partnership with the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto. This festive celebration offers a dynamic lineup of performances, interactive activities and tenant promotions, bringing the community together to ring in Lunar New Year with style.
WISHING TREE
Make a wish and hang it on our magnificent Wishing Tree, located at Centre Court. Wish cards may be picked up from our Concierge desk from February 7th-March 3rd, during Centre hours.
CELEBRATORY PERFORMANCES
12 pm and 3 pm: Experience a mesmerizing Lion Dance performance throughout the shopping centre. The God of Fortune will also make a special visit. Those who meet the God of Fortune will be rewarded with a special BV Pink Envelope. Envelopes contain a blessing for the new year… or, for some lucky guests, an $88 Bayview Village gift card! (limited to one per guest, available while supplies last)
TRADITIONAL CALLIGRAPHY GIFT WITH PURCHASE
12 pm to 5 pm: Spend $88 anywhere at Bayview Village and receive a hand-painted lantern or fan. Visit our traditional Chinese calligraphers located near Centre Court as they decorate these keepsake items for guests to bring home (one per person, while supplies last).*
LIVE A1 CHINESE RADIO BROADCAST
12 pm to 4 pm: See Leslie Yip in action as she delivers the day’s radio broadcast, live from Bayview Village! Located in the East Court.
