Join us in Islington United Church’s Stewart East Hall for our pre-Thanksgiving Connecting to You Women’s Retreat, Cultivating Gratitude for Enough.
We’re meeting on Friday, Oct. 3, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Friday night, we will explore what it means to be “enough” despite cultural messages. Saturday, guest speaker Miriam Frey – a Kitchener-Waterloo spiritual director and educator – returns to help us identify how each of our spiritual preferences (mystic, intellectual, relational, or social justice orientation) is “enough”. We will then consider ways to cultivate and connect with our gratitude for being “enough”.
We’ll provide a soup lunch on Saturday and gluten-free options will also be available. We’ll also have refreshments and worship, and lots of time to enjoy community.
