Join us for this concert of contrasts, opening with Canadian composer Matthew Donnelly’s darkly humorous “Grave Digger’s Waltz” to get us into the Halloween spirit.
Then Pianist Michael Berkovsky plays Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, a virtuosic concerto contrasting the hellish medieval liturgical Dies Irae with some of the most tender and beautiful melodies ever created.
We close the evening celebrating the sheer joy of being alive with Dvořák’s euphoric eighth Symphony. Matthew Jones, Music Director
