22 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) Scholarship/Bursary Fundraising Gala event.
Designed to reflect the local community and tasked with establishing and maintaining a meaningful community and police partnership through community outreach initiatives the CPLC is made up of community volunteers and police service representatives from 22 Division.
On September 14, 2024, at the Markland Wood Golf Club, we’re hosting our inaugural Fundraising Gala to support our Future Leaders Student Scholarship Bursary (FLSSB) our newest, and much needed, community outreach initiative.
To provide the initial funding of our FLSSB, our ambitious goal this year is to raise $10,000 through ticket sales and a silent auction during the event. In attendance at our event will be members of the Toronto Police Services, politicians from all levels of government, corporate members from within our 22 Division borders and of course members of the general public.
Starting in 2025, funds from this scholarship bursary will be used to provide financial support to a number of graduating high school students, from within our 22 Division borders, for their next level of education.
Recipients will be awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need, academic merit and community involvement.
We’re hoping through our event that we’ll be able to support identified students by at least lessening some of the financial stress that will accompany their post-secondary education.
Tickets to the event, which includes hors d’oeuvres, a four course dinner and silent auction, are being sold being sold for $125/ea. and can be purchased through e-transfer to treasurer@22divisioncplc.ca. When purchasing please include the full names of all attendees as well as a contact email in the memo field.
Remaining ticket sales will unfortunately stop at 2pm Tuesday September 10.
