In our quest to rid our streets of unnecessarily loud vehicles, Patrick Kwok, a Political Science Master’s student has investigated the laws regarding vehicle noise through all three levels of government. From the federal Noise Standard 1106 through the Provincial Highway Traffic Act and right down to our City of Toronto Bylaws he will explain the laws and testing procedures that seem to be failing us.
Additionally, he will shed light on the philosophical reasons why we have loud vehicles on our streets and propose solutions.
Join us to learn and then discuss how we can push for change to reclaim the sounds of our streets.
