The program is offered to older adults 55+ and is offered in-person. Funding for this program provided by the Seniors Community Grant from the Province of Ontario. Workshop is held in person at St. Demetrius Apartment 123 La Rose Avenue.
Flamenco is an integrated form of dancing, singing and music. It is a bold and elegant expression of deep and powerful feelings. Flamenco was declared UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010 and was named as a World Heritage Treasure.
Join Valerie Scannura (Flamenco dancer & teacher) and Roger Scannura (guitarist & composer) for an engaging interactive workshop.
Experience Valerie’s exquisite flamenco dance and Roger’s masterful guitar performance. Practice flamenco moves, discover fascinating facts about the art form, and immerse yourself in the experience by shouting the traditional Spanish “Jaleo” to cheer on the performers.
Get ready to be captivated by the beauty and passion of flamenco unfolding right before your eyes!
