Our talented compatriots are responsible for the discovery of X-rays, the creation of airplanes and helicopters, rocket and space systems, and much more. Their activities made Ukraine famous all over the world! Today we will learn about: • Sergei Korolev, the lead Soviet rocket engineer and spacecraft designer during the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union in the 1950s and 1960s. • Ihor Sikorsky, aviation pioneer in both helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. “The human dream of flight is limitless, it took us into space.
