This Summer Travel, Work and Improve your French! The YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange (SWSE) is a six-week program that offers youth ages 16-17 the opportunity to gain paid work experience, practise their second official language skills, and discover another community within Canada.
The program runs from June 28 to August 9, 2025 and costs just $200, covering travel, accommodation, and activities. Youth also earn money through their job placements.
Local non-profits and community organizations can also get involved through our employer partnership program, which subsidizes the wages of a youth employee and provides meaningful work experiences for youth across Canada.
