YOUtopia/OURtopia (Arts in the Parks)

YOUtopia/OURtopia is an artistic exploration of the spirit of Dentonia Park and how parks offer an example of peaceful co-existence.

In a five-day residency, Shadowland artists will run daily workshops that examine how public green spaces create a shared sense of belonging. With a focus on history, nature, Indigenous teachings and the comings and goings, community members are invited to contribute to what makes Dentonia Park distinct. All ages are welcome to participate in visual, musical, and performing arts activities that will culminate in collective celebratory performance on the final day.

Join our journey to discover the untold secrets of the park. Together we will listen to the trees and hear the stories they tell. We will dance on the grass to make it grow. We will ask the birds and insects for their songs. With an Indigenous nature guide we will reveal the hidden plants and wildlife. We will celebrate being together in a vibrant shared space.
