Santa is really excited to bring his parade back after having to stay at the North Pole for the last 2 years.Come out and see the floats\, the bands\, the community groups\, your favourite walking characters\, Santa’s elves and animal friends and of course the Jolly Elf himself\, Santa Claus. Meet up with friends you haven’t seen in a while; why not make new friends while you are waiting for Santa to make an appearance.The parade starts at 10am at Lakeshore Blvd W and Dwight Avenue (near Islington Ave.) and goes west on Lakeshore to Long Branch Ave.Round out your day by seeing Santa in person at the Skate with Santa event in the afternoon at the Powerhouse Recreation Centre Skating Oval in Sam Smith Park\, 12:30 to 3:30. Bring your skates\, enjoy the music and fun activities and tell Santa what you want for Christmas. SUMMARY:Hops for Hunger Food Drive at Great Lakes Brewery
DESCRIPTION:2022 marks our 14th year working with Daily Bread Food Bank in their ongoing fight to end hunger in our city. \nCome by Great Lakes Brewery on Saturday\, December 3rd between 10am and 4pm with some non-perishable food items\, baby food\, diapers\, and/or monetary donations\, to help those in need right here in our community. \nGLB staff will be on-site throughout the day to gather donations from the brewery parking lot\, sort them and make sure they get to Daily Bread Food Bank. \nWe’ll also have some local vendors on-site for our Holiday Market (12pm – 6pm) to browse while you’re here and two specialty Daily Bread Food Bank beers will be available: White Eggnog Stout\, and Belgian Winter. $1 from each can or pour will be donated to Daily Bread\, which will help provide a healthy meal for those facing food insecurity. \nCan’t make it out on the 3rd? No sweat. We’ll also be collecting food items and accepting monetary donations throughout the month of December right here at the brewery retail store/taproom.
