Home Smith took 3\,100 acres of ordinary Etobicoke farmland and turned it into an elegant series of subdivisions that were deemed “A bit of England far from England”.\n\nThe New History of The Old Mill – 2:00pm\nThis is a look at one of Toronto’s iconic landmarks an old grist mill that overlooked the Humber River and became the focal point of the Old Mill complex\, which today consists of a tea room and restaurant\, a banquet hall and event space … and an inn and spa that has been built into the footprint of the old grist mill. We start with Indigenous peoples\, travel through the era of exploration and settlement and see how the Old Mill remains a vital part of the Kingsway neighbourhood of Toronto.\n\nFeaturing the Artwork of Andrew Ross\nAndrew Ross is an internationally known and collected artist. His work is housed in the permanent collection of the AKG Art Museum (Buffalo\, NY)\, the Crown Collection of the Government of Canada (Ottawa\, Ontario) and in private and institutional collections in New York\, Palm Beach\, London and Miami.\n\nGrowing up at 23 Princeton Rd and\, opening his first studio at 8 Brentwood Rd N.\, the Kingsway and Baby Point aesthetic impacted Andrew in a positive way from childhood until today. The integration of elegant home stylings coupled with park-like streetscapes create a beauty and firm bedrock upon which one can thrive.
