SUMMARY:MNT Presents: Silencing Vehicle Vanity Noise
DESCRIPTION:Has there been an uptick of unnecessarily loud vehicles in your neighborhood? For many there has been. Always on the lookout for solutions to tone down street noise\, this is our latest discovery.\n\nCithaeron (https://www.cithaeron.tech/) is a company based in Seattle that currently has pilots running in Los Angeles\, California\, and Kirkland\, Washington. CEO Sol Keiter and CTO Garrett Rysko will be joining us to explain how the technology works\, and give a demo of the system. Please note this session will not be recorded.\n\nWith technology we can reduce noise\, improve enforcement\, and reclaim a more peaceful and healthy soundscape.\n\nMany thanks to Quiet Communities for co-sponsoring this event.\n\nRegister here: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_0sLmAFMmRbycJaE2d1Czjw

SUMMARY:Toronto Ribfest 2025 At Centennial Park
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, the scent of slow-smoked ribs will once again fill the air at Centennial Park as Toronto Ribfest returns for its 26th year\, bringing with it a powerful blend of community spirit\, family fun\, and charitable impact. \nRunning from June 28 to July 1\, the festival is organized entirely by volunteers and has become a cornerstone of the city’s Canada Day weekend celebrations. While thousands attend each year for the award-winning ribs\, live music\, and festive atmosphere\, the true purpose of Ribfest is rooted in community support. All proceeds go directly to the Rotary Club of Etobicoke\, which distributes the funds to local charities\, youth programs\, shelters\, and other vital community initiatives. \nOver the past 25 years\, the event has raised millions in support of the Etobicoke and Greater Toronto area. Despite its size and popularity\, Toronto Ribfest remains a fully volunteer-run initiative\, with no paid organizers behind the scenes. \nIn addition to a lineup of top ribbers from across North America\, this year’s event will feature live entertainment\, merchandise and artisan vendors\, food vendors and more – all set against the backdrop of one of Toronto’s largest public parks. \nAdmission is free\, and donations are encouraged. As it enters its 26th year\, Toronto Ribfest continues to showcase the impact of community-driven events and the strength of volunteerism in making a lasting difference.
