Guests can walk through the exhibition and sit in an antechamber where they are surrounded by projection mapping\, making them feel like they are moving through a black hole. Dax’s goal is for participants to engage their sense of curiosity and leave feeling more connected to humanity\, the environment\, and the cosmos. BHX reminds each person who experiences it about individual spirituality\, encouraging them to stop\, reset\, and breathe\, and to feel a sense of wellbeing\, awe\, and wonder.

In 2023\, she published her memoir “Brightening My Corner: A Memoir of Dreams Fulfilled” and received an honorary doctorate from York University for her “tireless efforts to combat discrimination and promote equality in Canada and beyond.” She hopes to inspire others to brighten their corners. Copies of the book will be for sale after the talk.

Led by diverse facilitators and poets\, this series explores six themes—Origin\, Memory\, Migration & Movement\, Resistance\, Nature\, and Rebirth—in a cycle that aligns between the summer solstice and autumn equinox.  \nEach gathering offers a supportive and inclusive cultural experience that creates imaginative space for individuals to not only read and be exposed to poetry\, but to also locate themselves within the poetry.
