DESCRIPTION:Gurgle\, Splash! combines aerial dance\, physical theatre\, puppetry and object manipulation to showcase a fantastical and whimsical underwater world. The world famous eccentric Peasblossom has discovered a mysterious occurrence in the middle of Flagstaff Park: once in a long while at the height of summer\, a rare occurrence creates an extraordinary oceanic microclimate right here in the park. This feast for the eyes has never before been witnessed and Peasblossom is excited to share these discoveries as all kinds of astonishing sea species gather. It is his fondest desire to share these wonders and highlight the importance of the delicate and magical underwater world that stretches across our planet to audiences of all ages.  \nCommunity members will have the opportunity to join social circus ambassadors SoCirC for free workshops before the shows\, where they will be introduced to circus skills such as juggling\, object manipulation\, and balancing. Participants who choose to will also have the opportunity to perform their newfound skills at that evening’s show.

DESCRIPTION:YOUtopia/OURtopia is an artistic exploration of the spirit of Dentonia Park and how parks offer an example of peaceful co-existence.   \nIn a five-day residency\, Shadowland artists will run daily workshops that examine how public green spaces create a shared sense of belonging. With a focus on history\, nature\, Indigenous teachings and the comings and goings\, community members are invited to contribute to what makes Dentonia Park distinct. All ages are welcome to participate in visual\, musical\, and performing arts activities that will culminate in collective celebratory performance on the final day.   \nJoin our journey to discover the untold secrets of the park. Together we will listen to the trees and hear the stories they tell. We will dance on the grass to make it grow. We will ask the birds and insects for their songs. With an Indigenous nature guide we will reveal the hidden plants and wildlife. We will celebrate being together in a vibrant shared space.
