DESCRIPTION:If your inner artist is dying to come out or you want to create community or even pursue a new hobby this workshop is for you!\nEach Friday from 10am-1pm we host painting workshops lead by the amazingly talented Galina Kokhan\, artist\, RMT & Acupuncturist where you and your friends can come together and paint.\n\nGalina’s classes have included a winter forest scene with a fury creature\, a small winter village and the last two workshops have been Tarot cards. The teachings in this book are particularly powerful for helping us develop a strong\, stable\, peaceful mind of patient acceptance\, thus overcoming our tendency to become stressed\, anxious\, or angry in difficult situations.\n\nIn this series of classes\, we will learn how to respond to life’s challenges with a positive\, peaceful mind\, using these situations as opportunities for spiritual growth. Through understanding and practising the teachings in this book\, we can gain true inner strength and confidence. This book is beneficial for beginners and long-term practitioners alike.  Although taught as a series\, each class is self-contained and can be attended individually. Drop in anytime. Classes include two guided meditations and a practical teaching. Everyone is welcome!\n\nAbout the Teacher: Gen Kelsang Thekchen is a senior Teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU).  He began practising Kadam Dharma in Toronto in 1995 and has been a Kadampa monk and Teacher under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for 24 years.
