DESCRIPTION:Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) 2026 is fast approaching on February 28th\, and for the 13th year\, Haven on the Queensway is thrilled to participate. CNOY is an annual\, winterrific\, family-friendly 2 km or 5 km fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt\, hunger\, and homelessness across Canada and the U.S.\nLast year\, Haven placed 14th out of 207 locations across Canada. Welcomed 387 walkers\, 60 teams\, 108 volunteers\, and 47 new and returning sponsors\, together raising over $180\,000. For 2026\, Haven is aiming to be in the TOP 10 across Canada with a goal of raising $200\,000.\nExciting News for 2026!\nThis year’s Start and Finish will be at Haven’s new\, larger\, fully accessible building.\nSupporting the Mission\nCNOY helps Haven’s programs that support those experiencing food insecurity and homelessness across Etobicoke and the GTA. With over 6\,000 people served monthly through our five programs\, the demand for services continues to rise each week.\nHow You Can Help\nCNOY is a day when tens of thousands of Canadians step outside their comfort zones to bring warmth and compassion to their communities.\nYou can make a difference by:\n• Signing up as a Walker and/or starting a Team\n• Fundraising or donating to a Walker or Team\n• Becoming an Etobicoke-Lakeshore Sponsor\n• Volunteering at the event\nYour involvement will directly support those in need and help make this winter walkathon exceptional.
